7 Ways to Organise Your Wardrobe

An organised wardrobe can reduce the time it takes you to get ready. Easy access to everyday items is a must and there are different ways you can arrange your wardrobe to achieve this. Here are seven tips to help you organise your wardrobe.

1. Declutter

The first step to organising your wardrobe is to declutter. If it doesn't fit or you can't remember the last time you wore it sell it, store it or give it away. Be honest with yourself and have a good clear out. Try and make this a regular habit to keep your wardrobe organised.

2. Get Seasonal

It's not very helpful to have woolly jumpers jump out at you if it's the middle of summer. Pack away clothes that are not in season and put them at the top of the wardrobe to make use of the harder to reach space.

3. Inner wardrobe storage solutions

Hanging canvas shelves offer a great inexpensive storage solution. Items such as t-shirts can stretch when on hangers so it's best to store them folded on these shelves. There is also the option of built in storage to cleverly store your things whilst allowing easy access. These can be customised to suit your needs making use of every inch of your wardrobe.

4. Organise your bits and bobs

You could create a dressing station with a pegboard. These can easily be mounted on the inside of your wardrobe to hand all your bits and bobs on. Belts, fashion jewellery, clutches and sunglasses can be neatly hung on your pegboard. This not only looks neat but is a great way to organise your wardrobe for easy access.

5. Clear storage

Use clear storage boxes or drawers to organise shoes, underwear and scarves. This keeps them neatly organised and allows you to see your collection.

6. Hanging space

Try storing all long items including coats at one end and shorter items at the other end. This allows you to put a storage bin or wire storage racks under the items on hangers that don't take up a lot of space. Use slim hangers so that you can make the most of your hanging rail.

7. Categorise

Store your clothes in categories, for example, business attire, casual and smart. This makes putting an outfit together quick and easy.

Bring order to your wardrobe with different storage solutions and make the most of the space you have. Organise it to suit your needs and keep it that way to ensure you can get ready quickly and easily.
